Mechanism of TBSS


TBSS can prevent vehicle from suddenly changing its direction when tire blowout happens, gaining time for driver to control the vehicle and avoid accidents.

[Composition of TBSS]

TBSS consists of for major parts: TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System), ECU (Electric Control Unit), DLS (Direction Locking System) and Power Steering System (PSS) (Figure 3). TPSS instantly monitors the tire pressure and send the information to ECU wirelessly. Receiving the signal, ECU will have 2 kinds of responses: 1. Give sound warnings when slow air leakage is happening and the tire pressure is 25% lower than normal; 2. Make DLS execute the direction locking function within 0.1S if the tire blows out. Direction locking function of DLS will not interfere the driver’s ability to change the vehicle’s direction by turning steering wheel.

[Qualification of TBSS]

TBSS is the results of 5-year hard working of dozens of senior mechanical and electrical engineers (Include several professors from Tsinghua University) and of thousands of times of scientific experiments. 13 national and international patents were applied and issued on this product. And the system has passed the most rigorous tests of two of the most authorized state-of-the-art auto tech centers in China: China Chongqing Automobile Research Institute and China Automotive Technology & Research Center.

This project had been listed in National Torch Plan and gained the support with funds from National Development & Reform Commission. Its application will bring into significant social benefit and economic benefit. Besides the scientificalness of itself, TBSS system is also the further improvement to the current Hydraulic Steering System.
